La Chacarita es un barrio misterioso. Una mezcla extraña de zona industrial y barrio de familias, un lugar por donde muchos porteños pasan sin detenerse para tomar el tren que los devuelve a casa mientras otros duermen sin apuro detrás de los muros del cementerio. A simple vista, no parece tener demasiado
atractivo, pero quienes lo conocen saben que esconde lugares secretos que vale la pena descubrir.
Chacarita no es un barrio muy glamoroso, ni pintoresco. Quienes esperen color local que no se sumen a esta visita. Pero si tenés ganas de ver qué pasa atrás de las paredes de Buenos Aires y cruzarte con algún que otro personaje curioso, podés venir con nosotros.
El paseo tiene una zona oscura y una luminosa. Del lado de las sombras vamos a cruzar las murallas del cementerio para conocer sus fantasmas, como el del mítico músico que fuma desde el más allá o la poderosa tumba que,
aunque vacía, está llena de símbolos. Del lado de luminoso, vamos a conocer muchas historias de gente viva: dos bares, uno que esconde bajo sus pisos la historia de la luz y otro que se convirtió en un icono pop. y también vamos a mirar de cerca un par de proyectos utópicos que parecían imposibles, pero funcionaron.
Recorrer este barrio es una buena excusa para ver el otro lado de cómo se vive en Buenos Aires, para hablar un poco de historia (la de Argentina, la de los grandes nombres como Perón y Gardel y la de gente común, como los que tratan de cambiar el mundo desde un mercado orgánico). Todo eso, pero también para sentarse a tomar un café y charlar un rato.

Chacarita is a mysterious neighborhood, an unusual mixture of industrial and residential areas, a place where many porteños pass by -without stopping- to catch the train that will take them
back home while others sleep in no hurry behind the walls of the cemetery.
At first sight it doesn´t look very attractive - but the ones who really know it can talk about its hidden places that are worth discovering.
Chacarita is neither a glamorous neighborhood nor a picturesque one. The ones who expect local stereotypes shouldn´t join this tour. However, if you feel like finding out what happens behind Buenos Aires´ walls and bumping into curious characters, come with us.
The circuit has a shady area and a bright one. On the dark side we are going to pass through the walls of the cemetery to meet its ghosts, like the mythical singer who smokes from the afterlife, or the powerful tomb which, despite its emptiness, is full of symbols. On the bright side we are going to explore many stories of the living: two bars, one that hides under its floor the history of light and other one that turned into a pop icon. Besides that we are going to have a close-up on seemingly impossible projects that somehow worked out.
Touring around this neighborhood is a good excuse to see the other side of how people live in Buenos Aires, to talk about its history (great names like Gardel and Perón and also ordinary people, like the ones who try to change the world by an organic market). All that in addition to sitting in a café and chatting for a while
